meet paige. paige is one of the best fraaaands i've ever had in my entire life. paige and i text more each day than i have ever texted anyone in my life, i think. and quite frankly i like it. especially now. because this is what happened approximately one week ago:

amy: i know it's a long drive but it's super inportant so i'll do it. don't feel like backspacing to correct my spelling. don't mind me.
paige: amy from now on can i never correct my spelling? i don't wanna but i don't wan tyou to be mad.
amy: i'd love that. i get so tired of texting and that would really help.
paige: i think that thought at least 9 times a day. tjat was supposed to be 8. oh well. i wish i could tell my pgone what t text you. I WISH WE HAD WALKIE TALKIES.

and my life has not been the same since.
paige: haha sorry that im wnjoing it too much and someit.es forget to actually corect my texts when i send them to other oeople.
amy: oohing noooo paige that's bad. of court i mean oh no but it happens.

paige: fame or stick it?
amy: fame. i've never seen it. so don't be mad if it sucks.
paige: ill neber spake to you again if it sucks. be prpepared.
amy: i could ember be prepared for you to lot speak k me
paige: it took me a hwhilen but i finallyg got that. love tou.

paige: no amy. cause were eating jealthy reMEMber? your idea kitten.

paige: amy its my job to make you laugh. imyour gf, your pic, your vip, your world, your everything.
amy: i don't know what half of those things mean but i can jobesly say, you are.

i just like paige. i wish everybody could have a paige in their life. paige is the best of both worlds. because she is the funniest girl i ever in my life have met (we're going to start a youtube talk show. so stay tuned.) but she is also the best person to call when i am having a rough day.

i have no idea where you have disappeared to yet again, but i cannot afford to keep drinking naked juices, which is currently the only thing that has entered my body today, and is the only thing that i even think about eating. (and by naked juice, i actually mean the lame off-brand odwalla juice that doesn't taste the same but is two dollars cheaper.)

dear paige,

each phone, text, or facebook conversation i have with you is the highlight of my life. also voicemails. i think you are the funniest person in the world and also the most wonderful friend. soooo thanks.

dear forget you,

i know that you are a bit of an old song, but i still love you, and i appreciate that you got me through last night and today. listening to you on repeat has been enormously helpful.

dear stephanie and holly and stephen,

i like this new job. i like it a lot. i like it in the way where i don't mind waking up in the morning, because i like my job.

dear snow,

what the h? although my striped gray sweater appears to be warm, it is actually just an illusion. and i don't love walking across campus and being snowed on in my not-warm gray sweater.

dear royal wedding,

i'm not going to lie, i don't really get how there is more media attention for the royal wedding than there is for the recent tornados and hurricanes. but, uhhh, congrats.

dear boy who is talking on the phone right now about where he applied to grad school,

the fact that your list includes harvard, columbia, boston, and mit makes my heart flutter.

another nice part of being home is that my wallet can sit untouched on my nightstand for two weeks, and my bank account can stay unopened for even longer. today i bought something for the first time since i've been home. my purchase consisted mostly of new running shorts and i love them. i took my new shoes out for the first time today, since it's miraculously not snowing, raining, or windy for once in minnesota's history.

i'm obsessed. they're nike lunar elite 2, and i felt like i was running on air. some runs are just like that, and they remind me why i run. i listened mostly to chill music--noah and the whale, ingrid michaelson, regina spektor, mumford and sons--until i was tired, and then i switched to my usual running music--ke$ha, rihanna, kanye--to push through to the end. and when i was done, i stretched on my driveway and wanted to do it all over again.

other things i'm liking right now:

*this lion picture which paige made for me:

*people who say "what's wrong? talk to me :(" and actually want to listen.

*that chelsea found these puggles at the pet store and i get to play with them when i go to denver for memorial day weekend.

*mandarin orange salad and homemade rolls. i ate at least a gallon of salad for lunch. yuuummmm.

*finding a new blog that i can't get enough of, and reading every post ever written in the last three years.

*that all of my supposed-to-be wedding activities have passed, so i don't have to suddenly realize "i should be getting married right now," or "i should be at my minnesota reception right now."

*buds starting to speckle the trees. i love spring. i live for spring. and it is almost here. :)

i had straight up the greatest weekend.

and even though this picture is ridic because the sun was absurdly bright and i was so tired of taking pictures, i love these girls. you can call them chelsea and quincy. i call them s and b. nbd. they're scandy.

i wish it was summer because i'm getting bored of running around the track every night.. also this whole weekend i have been in the kind of mood where i just want to lay on the grass and look up at a blue sky filled with white clouds and smile and be happy about how life is going. because honestly, my life rocks.

this week had better go fast.

but if it doesn't, that's okay too. i'm just happy, that's all.

this state is just so beautiful in the summer. i'm in love.

saturday, fireworks. best show i've ever seen. also the first real fireworks show i've seen in several years. i miss watching them from the middle of the lake at our cabin, but hey. it was a pretty good trade-off.

sunday, long aimless drives with paige. and raspberry white chocolate chip cinnamon rolls. zack's pretty good at making them, i guess...

monday, mesa falls. absolutely stunning. and then invictus. still not really sure what that movie's even about.. dumbest movie i've ever seen, probably, except perhaps duplicity. but also homemade strawberry ice cream! nothing beats that..

also, i love nilla wafers.

today has just been the most incredible wonderful fantastic day.

i got an A on my psychology test.

i played with paige for a long time.

i ate toy story 3 mac & cheese.

i went off-roading to a waterfall with zackery.

i watched the sun set from the top of a mountain.

i smiled a lot.

im happy.
